Price Your Dates
No PrepaymentRates read from our own price list on 20 August 2026There is no prepayment. You pay on pick-up, in cash or by card.
Whether you live in Limassol and need a car for the month, or you are here for a fortnight and want it delivered to the apartment, these are the rates Rents in Cyprus LTD stands behind. We speak English and Russian.
In Limassol we hire cars, and only cars: buggies and scooters stay in Paphos. Pick-up and drop-off are in the same town, so there is no one-way between Paphos and Limassol. Nothing is held until we confirm it with you.
- Rates: 45 to 130 euro a day for a week or less, falling to 30 to 90 euro at 22 days or more, confirmed 20 August 2026
- Minimum hire: 2 days. Limassol is the one town where a one day hire is not offered, and a day means 24 hours
- Four length bands: 2 to 7 days, 8 to 14 days, 15 to 21 days, and 22 days or more, set by the whole hire
- Excess: a flat 300 euro with the optional Collision Damage Waiver, on eligible bodywork
- Waiver price: 15 euro a day, cars only, confirmed 11 August 2026
- Deposit: no cash deposit with a valid credit card, and no prepayment at any stage
- Age: cars from 21 to 90 on the pick-up date, licence held two years, surcharge from 74
- Pick-up: our Limassol office at Andrea Zaimi 11a, or free delivery to your hotel or villa
- Same town at both ends: we do not run one-way rentals between Paphos and Limassol
- Cars only in Limassol. Buggies and scooters stay in Paphos
What a car costs to hire in Limassol
Our cars in Limassol start at 45 euro a day for a hire of a week or less, and 30 euro a day once the hire reaches 22 days. The shortest hire we take here is two days. The rate is set by the whole length of the rental, and every figure below comes from our own price list, confirmed on 20 August 2026.
| Class | Seats | 2 to 7 days | 8 to 14 days | 15 to 21 days | 22 days or more |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Economy | 5 | 45 euro | 40 euro | 35 euro | 30 euro |
| Hybrid hatchback | 5 | 50 euro | 45 euro | 40 euro | 35 euro |
| Saloon | 5 | 60 euro | 55 euro | 45 euro | 40 euro |
| Compact SUV | 5 | 65 euro | 60 euro | 55 euro | 50 euro |
| SUV | 5 | 70 euro | 65 euro | 60 euro | 55 euro |
| Seven seats | 7 | 110 euro | 100 euro | 90 euro | 75 euro |
| Executive saloon | 5 | 130 euro | 120 euro | 100 euro | 90 euro |
Third-party liability insurance and 24/7 roadside assistance are already inside every figure, so none of them is a stripped-back quote. The Collision Damage Waiver is the one optional addition.
Limassol has its own thirteen cars and its own rate card. It is not the Paphos price list with a town name changed: the vehicles are different, and the rate falls with the length of the hire, which the Paphos card does not do. If either card changes, it changes in our price record first.
Thirteen cars, and that is the whole Limassol fleet. Every one is automatic. That matters more than it looks, because the standing advice in this market is that the lowest-priced cars come with a manual gearbox, and none of ours does.
The band is set by the whole length of the hire, not by the day inside it. A ten-day rental is charged at the 8 to 14 day rate for all ten days, so the rate you pay on day one is the rate you pay on day ten. Day seven is still the first band and day eight is the second.
If you searched for the cheapest car rental in Limassol, the entry figure is 45 euro a day in the economy class for a week or less, and 30 euro a day once the hire reaches 22 days. The number to set against either one is the excess printed beside it.
One car on that list is a diesel, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and it is the only one. Of the other twelve, seven are petrol hybrids and five run on petrol alone.

Pick the car and we come back with a written confirmation, usually the same day. Nothing is charged now: you pay on pick-up, in cash or by card, and delivery inside Limassol is free at any rental length.

Rates confirmed 20 August 2026 and shown here for a hire of a week or less. The rate falls in four bands as the hire gets longer, and the full ladder is in the table above. No figure includes the optional Collision Damage Waiver. Every photograph shows the model, the body and the colour of the class rather than the exact car you will be given, and sending a request does not hold a vehicle until we confirm it.
Same town at both ends, so there is no one-way between Paphos and Limassol
Pick-up and drop-off are in the same town. We do not run one-way rentals between Paphos and Limassol, and returning a car to the wrong location is charged from 300 euro.
This is the first thing to say rather than the last, because two towns reads as two ends of one rental. It is the most expensive assumption anyone can make about us. Hire the car in the town you are actually in, and if your plan is awkward, tell us before you book and we will say what is possible.
One company in this town does sell what we do not: Chris Car Hire published a one-way charge of 25 euro on 11 August 2026. If a one-way is the thing your trip needs, you should hear that from us rather than discover it after booking.
Our own Paphos rates, points and terms sit on our car hire in Paphos page, and the same-town rule applies at that end too.
If you are crossing between the two towns anyway, our guide to getting from Paphos to Limassol sets out the bus, the fixed taxi fare from Paphos Airport, the drive, and which end works out cheaper to hire at over each length of trip.
Flying into Larnaca? Our guide to getting from Larnaca Airport to Limassol sets out the fixed statutory taxi fare, the direct airport bus, the road, and whether it is better to take delivery of a car at the Larnaca end or collect one here.
Landing at Larnaca or Paphos Airport instead? Our route cost comparator prices the fixed airport taxi fare, the bus, a dated transfer quote and a hire car from us for eight Cyprus journeys, Limassol included.
The deposit, and why there is no cash to leave
With a valid credit card there is no cash deposit, subject to approval, vehicle category and rental conditions. Without one, a refundable deposit or a card pre-authorisation may be held instead.
Both halves of that belong together. A page that publishes the first sentence and buries the second is telling you half of its own terms, and the half it left out is the one that costs money. So: bring a credit card in the driver's name and there is nothing to leave behind. If you cannot, tell us when you book and we will say what applies before you travel rather than at the counter.
Rent a car in Limassol without a deposit and you are asking a question the market answers in three different ways. So if you searched for car rental in Limassol with no deposit, here is what the other three answers look like. All were read on 11 August 2026, and we name these companies without linking to them. Chris Car Hire blocks 500 to 1,000 euro by vehicle group. AutoTrust holds a deposit equal to the excess, which on its own published ladder runs 300 to 900 euro. Enterprise publishes a 950 euro figure per class on its own Limassol page.
There is also no prepayment at any stage. You pay on pick-up, in cash or by card. Two of the pages ranking for this town on the day we read them actively recommend prepaying instead, one of them advertising it as the route to the better rate.
What the waiver actually pays for, what it leaves you liable for, and whether a separate excess policy is worth buying are set out in full in our guide to car hire excess in Cyprus.
What the rate includes, and what costs extra
Third-party liability insurance and 24/7 roadside assistance are inside the daily rate. The Collision Damage Waiver is the one optional addition, and everything else below is either conditional on the length of the rental or charged when it happens.
| Item | Status | What it costs |
|---|---|---|
| Third-party liability insurance | In the rate | Included |
| 24/7 roadside assistance | In the rate | Included |
| Delivery to a hotel or villa in Limassol | In the rate | Free, at any rental length |
| Collision Damage Waiver | Optional | 15 euro a day, cars only, leaving a 300 euro excess |
| Unlimited mileage | From five days | Included on rentals of five days or more |
| Second driver | From five days | Included on rentals of five days or more |
| Baby seat on request | From five days | Included on rentals of five days or more |
| Fuel | Charged | Full to full, or a refuelling fee plus the fuel |
| Late return | Charged | 100 euro, plus 20 euro for each started hour |
| Returning to the wrong location | Charged | From 300 euro |
| Off-road use | Charged | 450 euro per violation on a standard car, 600 euro on a crossover, seven-seater or premium car, plus 20 to 30 euro a started kilometre |
Read the mileage rows twice. Unlimited mileage applies on rentals of five days or more, and that condition is attached every time the phrase appears on this page. Four of the five Limassol operators we read print unlimited mileage flat, with no length attached, so an unqualified claim from us would be the wrong one.
The waiver needs the same care. An excess is the part of a damage bill you pay yourself before the waiver covers the rest. Take our Collision Damage Waiver and that part is a flat 300 euro on eligible bodywork. It excludes off-road use, tyres, glass, the underbody, the interior and the keys.
Publishing a waiver without its exclusions is the standing habit in this market, and three of the six operators we read publish no excess figure at all. Of the three that do publish one, two attach no price to it. Their published excesses ran from zero to 2,000 euro when we read them on 7 September 2026, and two of them sell a zero-excess product where we sell none. That is the range a flat 300 has to be judged against.
Third-party liability being included is a legal floor rather than a benefit. Directive 2009/103/EC Article 3 requires every vehicle based in an EU member state to carry it. That is EU law rather than a Cyprus rule, and it applies to the company you hire from as much as to us.
One rule that voids cover
Under our terms you may take one of our cars north of the Green Line only with our prior permission, separate insurance for the northern part, and the required documentation. Without those, crossing is an exclusion. That is our own term and nothing about anyone else's cover.
This is general information, not legal or financial advice. Rental terms, excess and deposits change, so confirm with us before you book.
Who we can hire a car to in Limassol
Cars are for drivers aged 21 and over who have held a licence for at least two years. Bring the original document rather than a photocopy, in the correct category. The upper limit is 90 on the pick-up date, with 15% on the rental line from 74 to 75 and 30% from 76 to 90.
Cars, from 21
With a licence held at least two years, and the original document in hand.
We hire to 90, with a surcharge from 74
No surcharge to 73, then 15% on the rental line from 74 to 75 and 30% from 76 to 90. Over 90 we cannot hire. Confirmed 2 September 2026.
The original licence at handover
Not a photocopy and not a photograph of one, in the correct category.
A licence from outside the EU
Carry an International Driving Permit alongside your national licence, and confirm with us when you book.
That 21 is the sharpest difference on this page, and it has nothing to do with price. Every figure below was read from each company's own published page on 11 August 2026. Chris Car Hire's terms state that all drivers must be 25 and over, while its own frequently-asked-questions page states 21 with a surcharge for under-25 drivers. Both were live on the same day, and the discrepancy is quoted here rather than resolved, because it is exactly why a reader wants one plain number from one company.
AutoTrust sets 25 at the standard rate, treats 22 to 24 and 71 to 80 as conditional, and asks for a licence held three years. Andys Motors states that a booking may be cancelled under 23 or under three years of experience, that its damage waivers are unavailable under 25 or over 69, and that a booking over 79 may also be cancelled. Enterprise publishes a maximum rental age of 79.
An EU licence works here. An EU driving licence is recognised in every other member state under Directive 2006/126/EC Article 2.
Two ages are easy to confuse, so they are separated here. Directive 2006/126/EC Article 4 sets 18 as the EU legal minimum for a category B licence. Our own minimum for a car is 21. The second is a rental rule and not a law, and nothing on this page should be read as making 21 a legal figure.
This is general information, not legal or financial advice. Rental terms, excess and deposits change, so confirm with us before you book.
Where you collect the car in Limassol

A meet-and-greet at an agreed spot
Arranged when we confirm your booking. There is no published address for this one, because the point of it is that we agree where.
Limassol Marina and Germasogeia are both inside the city and both are places we deliver to. We do not publish a distance from our office to either, because nobody has measured one.
Then the thing four of the five local operators do offer and we do not. Our free airport meet-and-greet is a Paphos Airport benefit on rentals of five days or more, and Limassol has no airport of its own. Chris Car Hire, AutoTrust, DDS Car Rentals and Andys Motors all serve a Limassol renter at Larnaca or Paphos airport, read 11 August 2026. If you are flying into Larnaca and want the car at the terminal, one of them is your answer and we are not.
There is no delivery map and no list of outlying villages, because the delivery boundary inside Limassol district is not settled yet, and what is true instead is that we agree the area when we confirm your booking. There are no delivery hours either. We have none recorded, and inventing a window for a car you are waiting on would be worse than saying so.
Hiring for a month or longer in Limassol
Limassol is a city where people rent for months rather than days, so this section is blunt about what we have and what we do not.
On long term car rental in Limassol the rate falls with the length of the hire: 30 euro a day in the economy class from 22 days, unlimited mileage from five days, free delivery at any length, and no prepayment.
What we do not have is a published monthly rate. The card is priced by the day in four length bands and the last one stops at 22 days or more, so there is no monthly figure on this page and no rate beyond that band.
And several companies in this town are cheaper than a daily card multiplied out. All of these were read on 11 August 2026. MAS Cars publishes 450 euro a month for a Toyota Yaris Hybrid, with full insurance, zero excess, no deposit, road tax and servicing included, and 520 euro for a Honda Fit Hybrid. Infinite Car Rentals starts at 480 euro a month. Hertz Cyprus advertises monthly rentals from 14 euro a day. NXM Empire starts at 15 euro a day from three months.
Set that against our own card and the arithmetic is not in our favour, even at the bottom band. Our Toyota Yaris Hybrid on a hire of 22 days or more is 35 euro a day, which is 1,050 euro over thirty days, against 450 euro a month for the same model with zero excess at MAS Cars. On a rental of a month or more, most readers will do better elsewhere, and we would rather write that down than let you work it out afterwards.
The dated daily card those figures are built from is further up this page.
The terms behind a long hire, the five-day benefits and how we price an exact window are on our long-term and monthly page.
Cars only in Limassol, because buggies and scooters stay in Paphos
Limassol is open for cars, and only for cars. The Kymco Agility 125 scooter and both buggies stay in Paphos, because that is where those machines are.
Scooters are Paphos-only too, and there is no Limassol option for either at any price. Being exact about that costs us something: scooter hire in Limassol is the least contested search we measured anywhere on this town, and we still cannot serve it. That is a fact about our fleet rather than an opportunity, and nothing on this page implies otherwise.
Booking direct with us, or through a comparison site
Neither route wins on everything, so here is the split for this town, with the losses included.
| Direct with Rents in Cyprus | A comparison site | |
|---|---|---|
| Who you contract with | Rents in Cyprus LTD, HE 448739, one Limassol street address | A broker. The supplier is named at the end of the funnel |
| When you pay | Nothing up front, cash or card on pick-up | Usually prepaid |
| Excess | One flat 300 euro, waiver priced at 15 euro a day beside the rate | Set by whichever supplier you land on. Published Limassol excesses ran from zero to 2,000 euro, read 7 September 2026 |
| Deposit | None in cash with a valid credit card | Typically a card block |
| Transmission | Automatic, all nine cars | A low headline rate is usually the smallest manual car |
| Minimum age | 21, with a licence held two years | 25 at two of the five Limassol operators we read |
| Upper age limit | None. Assessed individually | Enterprise publishes a maximum of 79 |
| Choice of supplier | One, ours, with nine cars | Twenty suppliers at once, which is genuinely their advantage |
| Changing the dates | One phone number | Supplier terms, through the broker |
- Voyage Rent A Car published 33 to 34 euro a day for a hybrid and 46.75 euro for a compact SUV, against our 45 to 50 euro and 75 euro.
- Chris Car Hire does a one-way for 25 euro, and we do not do one-way at all.
- Four of the five operators we read meet a Limassol renter at an airport, and we do not.
- On a rental of a month or more, MAS Cars at 450 euro with zero excess beats our daily card.
On the headline figures a comparison site shows you, be exact rather than dismissive. KAYAK advertised Limassol from 23.25 pounds a day to a UK searcher and Localrent from 13.99 euro a day, both on 11 August 2026. Those are real numbers for a different product: a low headline rate is usually the smallest manual car, at the longest rental length, with the largest excess, paid up front. What compares cleanly is two totals with their excesses beside them, which is why ours sit on this page with the date they were checked.
There is one question the answer engines currently leave unclaimed, which is which car rental company is best in Cyprus. It is not ours to answer about ourselves. What we can do is publish the rate, the excess, the waiver price, the deposit rule, the age gate and the three things we cannot do for you, and let you judge against whoever else you are reading.
We should be plain about the money here. We hire out our own vehicles, so there is no commission on this page, no affiliate link, and no third party in the transaction.
Frequently asked questions
The two day minimum, the deposit, the excess, age at both ends, a non-EU licence, the airport, the one-way question and the longest rental, answered from our own terms and from EU primary sources.
No. A Limassol car is hired for two days or more, and that is the one term that differs by town with us. A day means 24 hours, so a two day hire runs 48 hours from the time you collect. If you only need a car for a single day, our Paphos fleet hires from one day, and the reservation page will tell you as soon as you pick a town and your dates.
With a valid credit card there is no cash deposit, subject to approval, vehicle category and rental conditions. Without one, a refundable deposit or a card pre-authorisation may be held instead. There is no prepayment either way: you pay on pick-up, in cash or by card.
The optional Collision Damage Waiver is 15 euro a day on cars and leaves a 300 euro excess on eligible bodywork. It excludes off-road use, tyres, glass, the underbody, the interior and the keys. For scale, published excesses in this town ran from zero to 2,000 euro on 7 September 2026, and three of the six operators we read publish no figure at all.
With us, 21, provided you have held your licence for at least two years and bring the original. The upper limit is 90 on the pick-up date, with no surcharge to 73, 15% on the rental line from 74 to 75 and 30% from 76 to 90. Directive 2006/126/EC sets 18 as the EU legal minimum for a category B licence, which is a law rather than a rental rule.
An EU licence is recognised across the EU, so it works here. Bring the original in the correct category rather than a photocopy. If your licence was issued outside the EU, carry an International Driving Permit alongside it and confirm with us when you book.
No. We do not run an airport meet-and-greet for a Limassol rental, and our free airport meet-and-greet is a Paphos Airport benefit on rentals of five days or more. In Limassol the options are our office at Andrea Zaimi 11a, free delivery to your hotel or villa, or a meet-and-greet at a spot we agree when we confirm.
No. Both ends of the rental are in the same town, and returning a car to the wrong location is charged from 300 euro. Hire in the town you are in, and tell us if your plan is awkward.
There is no published maximum. A rental runs from one day upwards, and long rentals are priced by hand. Unlimited mileage applies from five days. We publish no monthly rate, so send us the dates and we quote.

We re-read our own Limassol rates and terms in the spring, because demand in this city holds through the winter rather than following a tourist season. Every competitor figure on this page is re-checked every 90 days, because terms pages change without notice and this page argues against them. The date below moves only when the figures have actually been re-checked.
Rates and terms on this page are our own, read on 3 August 2026, and are general information rather than legal or financial advice. Seasonal rates, deposits and excess change, so the figures on your rental agreement are the ones that apply. Last verified: 3 August 2026.
