Our rental terms

This is a summary of the terms we hire on, written so you can read it before you book rather than at a counter with your bags on the floor. The binding document is the rental agreement you sign when we hand the vehicle over, and if anything below differs from it, the agreement is the one that counts.

These terms were last confirmed with the owner on 3 August 2026.

Who may drive

The age rule depends on what you are hiring, and the two figures below are not a contradiction. A car is from 21. A scooter or a buggy may be accepted from 18, and that word may is doing real work: it depends on your licence category, your driving experience and the insurance conditions that apply to the machine.

We need the original licence at handover. A photograph of it, a scan or a photocopy is not enough, whatever another company may accept.

RuleWhat applies
Cars, minimum age21
Scooters and buggies, minimum ageMay be accepted from 18, depending on licence category, driving experience and insurance conditions
Licence held forAt least 2 years
Licence categoryThe correct category is required for scooters and motorcycles
Licence documentThe original, not a photocopy
Older driversCars to 90 on the pick-up date. No surcharge to 73, plus 15% on the rental line at 74 to 75, plus 30% at 76 to 90, refused over 90
Second driverFree on rentals of 5 days or more
Driver requirements confirmed by the owner on 3 August 2026.

Cars are hired to drivers aged 21 to 90 on the pick-up date. From 74 to 75 the rental line carries 15% more and from 76 to 90 it carries 30%. Over 90 we cannot hire, and the oldest named driver sets the band.

What is in the rate

Third-party liability cover and 24/7 roadside assistance are in every rate on this site. So is delivery to a hotel or villa across the Paphos area, at any rental length, and a helmet with every scooter.

The rates we publish are starting daily rates from our own price list. They move with the season and with how long you keep the vehicle, and they do not include the optional Collision Damage Waiver. The figure on your agreement is the one that applies.

  • Third-party liability cover.
  • 24/7 roadside assistance.
  • Free delivery to hotels and villas across the Paphos area, at any rental length.
  • A helmet with every scooter.
  • On rentals of 5 days or more: airport meet and greet, a second driver, a baby seat on request, and unlimited mileage subject to the rental terms.

Minimum hire is 1 day, meaning 24 hours, for a car. A buggy ride can start from 1 hour.

Collision Damage Waiver, and the 300 euro excess

The Collision Damage Waiver is optional. If you take it, your liability for eligible bodywork damage is capped at a 300 euro excess. If you do not, damage is yours in full.

The exclusions matter more than the number, so here they are rather than a page reference. The waiver does not cover off-road use, tyres, glass, the underbody, the interior or the keys. On a buggy that is a large carve-out, because a buggy spends its life on exactly the surfaces the waiver excludes, and we would rather you knew that before you booked than after you got back.

ItemWhat applies
Collision Damage WaiverOptional
Excess with the waiver300 EUR, eligible bodywork only
Not covered by the waiverOff-road use, tyres, glass, underbody, interior, keys
Without the waiverDamage is the renter's in full
Cover and excess confirmed by the owner on 3 August 2026.

We publish no zero-excess product, because we do not sell one.

Deposit and payment

There is no prepayment at any stage. You pay when you pick the vehicle up, in cash or by card, and a request costs nothing to make.

With a valid credit card there is no cash deposit, subject to approval, the vehicle category and the rental conditions. Where those conditions are not met, a refundable deposit or a card pre-authorisation may be held instead.

Nothing on this site takes a payment, at any step. The reservation page checks and prices your dates against our own fleet and takes your signature, and it holds nothing: a booking request is a request until a person here confirms it.

Mileage

Mileage is unlimited on daily rentals of five days or more, subject to the rental terms. Below five days, a cap can apply, and it is set at booking rather than left vague.

One cap is published because it always applies: the two-seat buggy is limited to 100 km a day, and beyond that it is 0.25 euro per extra kilometre. That is a real constraint on where a buggy can take you in a day, and it is the reason routes are agreed before you leave.

Vehicle and lengthMileage
Any vehicle, 5 days or moreUnlimited, subject to the rental terms
Shorter rentalsA daily cap can apply, agreed at booking
Buggy, 2 seats100 km per day, then 0.25 EUR per extra km
Mileage terms confirmed by the owner on 3 August 2026.

Fuel

Fuel is full to full. You collect the vehicle full and bring it back full. If it comes back short, a refuelling fee applies on top of the cost of the fuel itself.

Where the vehicle may go

Cars are for asphalt roads. Taking one off road is a breach rather than an extra, and it is charged as a penalty: 450 euro per violation on a standard car and 600 euro on an SUV, MPV or seven-seater, plus 20 euro a started kilometre on the first and 30 euro on the second. The Akamas tracks are the usual reason this comes up, and the honest answer there is a buggy rather than a car.

There is one allowance, and it is the difference between a wrong turn and a bill. If the asphalt ends, you stop and turn around, and the agreement permits 15 metres past the end of the surface to do that safely. Past 15 metres is a violation.

Buggy routes are agreed in writing before you set off. Approved zones may include Lara Bay, Avakas Gorge, White River and Adonis Baths, subject to conditions on the day. The Blue Lagoon and public highways are not permitted.

The route agreement is not paperwork for its own sake. It is what makes the difference between a ride we can insure and a call we cannot help with.

North of the Green Line

Driving one of our vehicles into the north of Cyprus is possible with our prior permission, separate insurance for the northern part, and the required documentation. All three, not one of the three.

Crossing without that approval is an exclusion under our terms, which means a claim in the north on a vehicle that was not approved to be there is not covered. Ask us first and we will tell you what is needed.

Charges if something goes wrong

These are the figures on our own price list, published together so you can see all of them at once rather than meeting one at the desk.

What these terms do not say

A terms page is judged as much by what it quietly leaves out. These are the gaps in ours, stated rather than papered over, and each one is a thing we do not hold in writing.

  • No seasonal rate grid. Our rates do vary by season, but the variation is not quantified in our written terms, so we will not publish a month-by-month table for it.
  • No VAT position, because our price list does not state one.
  • No child or passenger policy beyond the baby seat on request, for the same reason.
  • No statutory rule of any kind: no speed limit, no drink-drive limit, no legal minimum driving age and no helmet law. Those need a government source, and where we cannot verify one we leave the gap rather than repeat what a rental site down the road has written.
  • No opening hours, because we have no confirmed set of them.

How we verify pricesAbout the company

If a term here matters to your booking, ask before you book

Terms change, and the agreement you sign at handover is the document that binds both of us. If a figure or a condition on this page is the one your trip turns on, put the question to us in writing and we will answer it in writing.
